The holidays are a tricky time to stick with a workout routine. But you don’t have to completely give up your workouts – here are three tips that will help you plan your workouts around holiday plans.

1. Get the Most Out of Your Time

If you only have 15 minutes to workout, you’ll want to get the most out of your time. Do it by involving all your muscles; get as many body parts moving at once. Do reps of jumping jacks, burpees or jump rope. It’s a great way to get in a quick workout before heading to a holiday event.

2. Walk more

If you are waiting for a pie or turkey to bake in the oven, maybe you can grab your shoes and walk around the block a few times. Another idea is to park farther away in the parking lot when you go holiday shopping.

3. Engage Your Family and Friends

Instead of lying on the couch after a large holiday meal, how about you take your family sledding or ice skating? It’s a fun way to get everyone involved, while getting your body to move.
